Background
Olivia R. Hester is from Bowling Green, Kentucky. She attended the University of Kentucky and graduated with honors in December of 2018 with a major in Political Science and minor(s) in Sociology, Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Studies. She enjoyed her time at UK as a Resident Advisor and held various positions within Delta Zeta sorority.
Olivia then attended the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, where she graduated with honors in December of 2021. During her time in law school, Olivia worked for the Kentucky Innocence Project, assisting indigent individuals in post-conviction work with legitimate claims of innocence. Olivia was a teaching fellow for the Marshall Brennan Constitutional Literacy Program, where she taught a high school senior class a course on Constitutional Law and received a Brandeis Annual Award for her time teaching. Olivia was a member and published author of the Journal of Animal and Environmental Law. Olivia was a member of the American Civil Liberties Union, Appalachian Law Caucus, and participated in the Human Rights Advocacy Program. Olivia was a CALI Award recipient in Business Organizations. While her focus is mainly on criminal cases, Olivia has experience within the firm working on general litigation and family law matters as well.
